15 June 2026 | By Natalia Albin

Veronika Bolotina's It's Not for Me is a 12-minute documentary following painter Lera Dubitskaya, filmed in Warsaw where the artist is based. The film takes an intimate look at Dubitskaya's life and practice, tracing both the challenges of living as an immigrant artist and the inner worlds her work inhabits.

Bolotina, who was born in Belarus and is now based in Germany, where she is a naturalised citizen, has previously had work selected for Aesthetica, Interfilm, Lichter, and the Polish International Film Festival among others. In 2022 she received a STEP scholarship from Hessen Film and Media, followed by a development grant for her debut feature.

It's Not for Me was produced with support from Panavision Poland and funded by Milanote.
