EXCLUSIVE: Trailer released for ‘Homecoming’ by Will Pope
26 May 2026 | Molly LipsonHomecoming is the latest short film from writer-director Will Pope. It tells the story of Archie, a young man fresh out of prison and fighting to rebuild his family. When a contact from his past plants doubts about his wife's fidelity, Archie's chance at a new life unravels.
“It is a story of manipulation, paranoia, angst and revenge,” says the film’s writer and director Will Pope. Following his release from prison, Archie does his best to reintegrate into society and follow the straight and narrow. Rather than communicate with those around him, his pride gets in the way and his emotions are bottled up with nowhere to go.
"“I think the stories we tell have real power to shift how people understand second chances,” says producer Allegra Venturi. “We talk a lot about crime and punishment, but we rarely talk about what comes after. There's a big gap, emotionally and practically, that people are just expected to navigate on their own. Archie's story sits in that space.” The film is currently beginning its festival journey.
