Director Jasmine De Silva and producer Tuli Litvak release trailer for their futuristic nightmare film ‘Beauty Sleep’

Produced by Fidge Films Productions, De Silva’s second short film as writer and director is a retro-futuristic tale about dangers of striving for perfection when it comes to beauty. The story follows a new beauty trend within the world of the film where a mortician performs a living embalmment on 16-year-old girls.

The film stars Emma James, Jes Hynes and Abi McLoughlin with Beatriz Delgado-Mena as DOP and, in her tenth short, Nuha Mekki as Production Designer. 

The short has been selected to premiere at Fantasia Film Festival 2025 in Montreal.
