Comedy group Dinner for One premiere their short '4th Dementia' on Omeleto after its festival run

By Natalia Albin Legorreta

Written by Brooklyn-based comedy sketch group Dinner for One, 4th Dementia uses comedy to approach Alzheimer’s, diffusing its inherent tragedy through humour and telling the story from the point of view of those living with the disease.

The short follows Nellie, a woman whose day fractures into a multiversal journey, travelling through different dimensions in search for her husband. 4th Dementia stars Caroline Aaron (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) and Bill Irwin (Sesame Street, Interstellar). It premiered at Rhode Island Film Festival, where it won the award for Best Screenplay, before going on a successful, year-long festival run.

Dinner for One’s writers and producers are Ally Condrath, Jake Mann, Kyle Miller and Ian Wexler, who directed the film. “I’m so proud of this surreal and moving thing that we’re finally allowed to share. So much love and adoration to everyone who’s been on this surprising journey,” shared Mann.

You can watch the film on Omeleto below.
